The winemaker

At the heart of Blanchard Perez lies the vision of Andrés Blanchard Perez, a winemaker whose passion for wine and terroir transcends borders.

Andrés Blanchard Perez is a 4th Generation Winemaker from Argentina with Spanish and French heritage.

While living in Spain, he got his Masters degree in Viticulture and Winemaking. He currently makes wines from Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Spain, and France.

Across continents, his philosophy remains the same: to create wines that speak of their origin, made with integrity, respect for nature, passion, and a deep connection to the soil.

During his time in Europe, Andrés developed a deep appreciation for cava and inspired by this unique terroir and the legacy of his grandfather Florentino Perez Perez crafted the his first vintage of cava in 2018.

As co-founder of Blanchard y Lurton and Bodega Cuarto Dominio in Argentina, Andres also produce wines from the foothills of the Andes, where high-altitude vineyards give Malbec a unique depth and identity.

Blanchard Perez is more than a cava, it is part of a story that unites heritage, family, and terroirs from both sides of the Atlantic. A story told through every bottle, every glass, and every celebration.

Blanchard & Lurton: Andrés joined forces with François Lurton, a renowned winemaker with a long-established family tradition in Bordeaux. Together, they launched Blanchard & Lurton, the first and only wine producer in Argentina (since 2014) and Chile (since 2023) that is solely dedicated to producing world-class white wines. www.blanchardylurton.com

Uruguay has shown great evolution for the last 20 years making amazing wines, expressing a vast diversity of terroirs. In particular Albarinho has shown a huge potential. Andres and his friend Eduardo Quinto have followed this progress closely and decided to produce together one of the most exiting white wines of south America. Their first vintage of Albarinho was harvested in 2024 and just bottled. The 2025 vintage is still in French oak barrels.

Blanchard Perez France: With the help of his partner in Francois Lurton, Andres produced his first wine in south of France in 2022 from organic vineyards located in Cotes de Gascogne. Rated over 90+ for three consecutive years it is one of the most exiting wines in the market today.

With respect for nature, from centenary organic vines, emerges a cava that embodies both tradition and elegance.
